Colorado Elopement Experiences

The dictionary says to Elope is to-    To marry; to run away with ones love with the intent to wed in a private, unique, crafted fashion

The “Wedding World” is changing, due to many social, economic or personal choices. So many couples are choosing to elope, with their best of friends and just a few family members, usually less than 10 people. We know that sometimes figuring out how to elope can make it feel more terrifying than a full-blown wedding…With all the concerns of what to do, where to go and what will people think? And of course, there are also the new health and safety issues that have come up recently.
This is perfectly understandable and normal! If planning your elopement is giving you those stress nightmares you were trying to avoid, we're here to help!  Or if you have everything in hand, we are here to make sure that it all happens the way that you want!
How would it feel if you were looking forward to your wedding day because it is full of your best of friends, an amazing place for your celebration, your photographer and flowers were waiting for you! Then when everything is said and done, a toast is waiting, and music is queued for your first dance! You can have that unique, wonderful and meaningful expression of the love you share, without all the fuss! This will be an experience that will be treasured for a lifetime.
Your wedding can be whatever you want it to be, whether it’s a mountain top celebration with handfasting and a few friends and family or a totally intimate ceremony with just the two of you in front of a river or moonlight lake. Once your ceremony is done, you can even choose to have a decadent champagne (or sparkling cider) toast with toasting glasses to keep, along with a yummy cupcake to honor those time old traditions. Last but not least, we can even have the music to play not only when you walk down to your new spouse, but also for your first dance.

.....We have gathered here, on this beautiful day to celebrate the creation of a new marriage. In marriage, two individuals unite your lives, your destinies, your loves into one. You are vowing to nourish each other in spirit, mind, and body. Marriage gives you a sense of security so you can survive the challenges and celebrate the joys that life brings.
With joy there does come sadness, just like there is always a sunset after a dawn.
This is also an opportunity to remember those who are not with us today, either through reasons of their own, or because they have traveled down the corridors of time without us. Let’s take just a moment and reminisce on the memories that you have with those special and wonderful people who have been a treasured part of your lives. But this isn’t a time to be full of sorrow, think on those times that you have shared a meal, an adult beverage, a laugh or even a hug. They may not be here with us today, but we always carry them in our hearts...

Ceremony for A. & J.   9/5/2019 Estes Park
......Again, we know, that true life is lived when changes occur. This is a change in your relationship, in your lives, and how you view each other. When you first met you had that instant bond, today is the day you strengthen that bond through marriage. You both have given much thought and considerations that guided you to this decision to marry. You both know each other’s faults and strengths, and you set each other free to fully be yourselves. Your devotion to one another gives you the courage to face all the challenges life brings. Always remember that the wisest couples have hope. They believe in the power of loving marriages. Arguments and obstacles will breach times of great happiness. But all moments and events are conduits to learning more about the world, oneself, and each other. In marriage, you should therefore become more and more affectionate, knowledgeable, and committed as you age apart and together. Marriage is indeed about feeling the joyous, fluttering thrill you feel for one another. But it also has a deeper meaning. It is about offering unconditional sympathy, understanding, and care. It is about cultivating love and wisdom, so they may be perched on your shoulders from this day forward.
As F. Burton Howard once said-
"Marriage: If you want something to last forever, you treat it differently. You shield it and protect it. You never abuse it. You don't expose it to the elements. You don't make it common or ordinary. If it ever becomes tarnished, you lovingly polish it until it gleams like new. It becomes special because you have made it so, and it grows more beautiful and precious as time goes by." ......
Ceremony for T. & J.  Garden of the Gods Park
.... T. and J.  marriage is the promise between two people who love each other, who trust that love, who honor one another as individuals in that togetherness, and who wish to spend the rest of their lives together. It enables the two separate souls to share their desires, longings, dreams, and memories, their joys and sorrows, and to help each other through all uncertainties of life. A strong marriage also nurtures each of you as separate individuals and allows you to maintain your unique identity and grow in your own way through the years ahead. It is a safe haven for each of you to become your best self while together you become better than ever could be alone.
You are adding to your life not only the affection of each other, but also the companionship and blessing of a deep trust. You are agreeing to share strength, responsibilities and love. To make this relationship work, therefore, takes more than love. It takes trust, to know in your hearts that you want only the best for each other. It takes dedication, to stay open to one another, to learn and grow, even when it is difficult to do so. And it takes faith, to go forward together without knowing what the future holds for you both.
